Hotel Block Guidelines:

As a reminder, please only reserve the rooms you intend to use for yourself or for your company personnel. Please do not horde rooms for customers or fellow members. Large, unassigned room reservation blocks can create issues with managing the overall group block. Be sure to assign each room reservation to a specific name so that the TTMA can compare legitimate attendees against those in the block to prevent unauthorized use of our discounted rate by other individuals/groups.

TTMA negotiates favorable room rates for its annual conventions by contracting a large room block. TTMA is financially responsible for all contracted rooms whether or not they are utilized.

Here are a few ways you can help us ensure everyone who wants a room within the block is able to get one and that the association is not put in a negative position:

Only reserve the rooms you intend to use for yourself or for your company personnel. Please do not horde rooms for customers or fellow members.
Assign each room reservation to a specific name so that TTMA can compare legitimate attendees against those in the block
Avoid double booking rooms by going through TTMA's room block instead of through Hyatt reservations. You will receive the same number of Destination Hotel reward points. Also, when you book outside the block, you will pay the full resort fee that is waived as part of the room block rate negotiated by TTMA.
Be aware that when you book a room through a third-party discount site such as Hotels.com or Orbitz.com, TTMA does not receive credit for those rooms within its room block. It also makes it more difficult to manage head counts because those sites do not provide reporting information to TTMA.
Beware of housing pirates not associated with TTMA. You will never be contacted about booking a room unless you specifically call and ask for assistance.
